Privacy policy

How we handle your personal data, in plain English.

Template, for review. This is a working draft to make the site complete and compliant in structure. Have it checked and finalised by a qualified adviser before launch.

Last updated: pre-launch draft.

Who we are

FreshID Limited (trading as Freshman) (“we”, “us”) operates this website. For any privacy question, contact us at hello@freshmanbody.com. We are the data controller for the personal data described here.

What we collect, and why

  • Waitlist email address. When you join the waitlist we collect your email address so we can tell you when Freshman launches and send occasional pre-launch updates. Our lawful basis is your consent.
  • Anonymous usage analytics. We may measure how the site is used in aggregate to improve it. Where we use a privacy-friendly, cookieless tool, this does not identify you. If we use cookie-based analytics, we ask for your consent first.

Who we share it with

We use trusted processors to deliver the service, for example an email marketing provider to manage the waitlist. They act on our instructions and only for the purposes above. We do not sell your personal data.

International transfers

Some of our processors, such as our email and analytics providers, may be based outside the UK. Where your personal data is transferred internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards recognised under UK data protection law, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or adequacy regulations, to keep it protected.

How long we keep it

We keep your waitlist email until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove it, or until it is no longer needed for the purpose it was collected.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal data, to object to processing, and to data portability. You can withdraw consent at any time, including by using the unsubscribe link in any email. To exercise any right, email hello@freshmanbody.com.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

Cookies

This site aims to use as few cookies as possible. Any non-essential cookies, such as cookie-based analytics, are only set with your consent, which you can change at any time.
